CENTRAL PARK

We are excited to celebrate outdoors with parents and our young friends afterschool in Central Park! With our seasoned adventurers, we aim to practice outdoor skills while honing persistence, grit and resilience--important skills children need to thrive in our ever-changing world!

Persistence and Grit - We welcome children to discover and pursue their own interests and learn to overcome challenges in pursuit of things they love
Resilience - We help children realize they have the capacity to thrive no matter what and see the adults who believe them too

We will gather to greet in the afternoon to share our day and then set off on a nature walk at a slow and curious pace. We'll witness the beauty of nature and make sure there is ample time for play and conversation.

Class Details

Location: 76th Street & 5th Avenue or UWS off 81st Street Entrance

Schedule: Mondays 3pm to 6pm

Ages: Ages 4 - 8 welcome

Seasons: Fall (September to November), Winter (December to February), Spring (March to June)

Cost: $250 monthly tuition. DOE holiday calendar observed. Optional day camps available for additional fee.

Class Size: Class is limited to 12 children.

Dress: We will meet rain or shine in all but extreme weather. On wet and muddy days, water resistant pants that can get dirty and rain/mud boots are required. Proper rain gear or one-piece suits, such as Oakiwear, Tuffo's Muddy Buddy or Frogg Toggs are a must. In case of rain, wear hat and rain jacket (umbrellas are not practical). Snacks: Please pack a healthy snack and water for your child. We will have a group snack time in the beginning of our class, though your child is free to eat and drink any time.

Missed Classes: We do not offer refunds for classes you miss, nor do we allow drop-ins. While we strive to be as accommodating as possible, we also believe that continuity in participation builds an important sense of community and makes for a higher quality learning experience for our children and families.

Weather Cancellations: We follow NYC school and NYC weather advisory. If there is a delayed school opening or closure or extreme weather warning, we will cancel class and not make it up. In the unlikely event we must cancel two or more classes, we will credit the missed class fee towards a future program.
